How to import from Obsidian

  1. Download and install Lionote (v3.8.7 or later)
  2. Go to Menu bar → Settings → Import → Folder, choose to import an entire Obsidian vault, and select your Obsidian vault folder
  3. When the import finishes, view and edit your notes in Lionote

Note

Vault import currently supports only Obsidian's default attachment location (images, attachments, etc.). If you changed where Obsidian stores attachments, check that setting before importing.

How to import from Notion

  1. In Notion, go to Settings → General → Export → Markdown (select: default view & Create folders for subpages & Include private pages) → Export
  2. Go to Lionote Menu bar → Settings → Import → Folder, and select the folder exported from Notion (unzip it first)

Other note apps

  • Any app that can export a package in Markdown or txt format can be imported into Lionote
  • You can bulk-export files from the other app
  • Or gather the files you want to import into a single folder
  • The folder's nested structure is preserved during import
  • Resource files need to be placed in a same-level folder with the same name (or a same-level assets/image/images folder)
