Privacy and Security
How to Ensure Data Security
- Data is saved locally as files
- After enabling cloud sync, it's equivalent to having an additional cloud backup
- You can manually backup the data folder regularly
How to Protect Privacy
- We first encrypt your access password using MD5, then store it only on your local device
- Then we use the encrypted password to encrypt the note content using AES encryption
- The encrypted content is used for cloud synchronization
- Since the cloud doesn't have the password for decryption, no one, including Lionote developers, can view your note content
- Lionote prohibits public access through browsers and other means, so there's no need for content review, and encrypted data cannot be reviewed
